Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in a blended role where I complete a vary of administration tasks and take/ make calls within the bereavement department at Scottish Widows.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme. I have a good relationship with my coach Liz and feel comfortable going through the apprenticeship with her. Everything is explained well and I am enjoying improving my skills.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot about the business and how to effectively deliver excellent customer service. I have gained a more advanced knowledge of why this is so important and can deal with various situations in a way I couldn't have before starting the programme. It has built mu confidence in financial services and in my day to day role - even speaking with other colleagues.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised and structured. I am always made aware well in advance of what I need to complete and look at - everything is always put into my calendar with the details also. I can always email Liz for any additional support also.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support. On every call I am reminded just to call or email if I have a query and always get a response quickly.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A lot of support. Liz always provides me with useful documents and websites I can use and I can call/email her if I have any other queries.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have a more in depth understanding of why what I do is important and can now handle more difficult situations through my new understanding. I have l also learnt more about the company I work for which has gave me more confidence in what I do.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yeah, its difficult at the moment due t home working but there are lots of clubs for inclusion and coffee catch ups we can have via teams this now.
