Insight into Rothschild & Co’s M&A, ECM, DCM, and Wealth Management departments, learning about the different business through presentations and networking with analysts and associates.
Also presented an evaluation of the healthcare systems in the USA and UK to Rothschild associates by the end of the week, contrasting the systems in both countries and identifying key challenges and opportunities in each.

The in depth insight into multiple divisions of Rothschild & Co allowed me to understand their business model and how they differ from other financial organisations. There was also a session which explored the entire financial markets which built on my existing knowledge and helped me in recognising which areas of the financial markets I would enjoy working in based on my interests.

I gained clarity on the financial markets and really understood how many different divisions and roles there are across the industry. I too developed my teamwork and presentation skills by working in a team throughout the week. The virtual format of the presentation itself to made me more comfortable with the virtual environment (e.g. video interviews). Lastly, in the large group sessions I gained confidence in my public speaking by interacting and asking questions.

In the financial sector where a larger portion of your day is spent at work, getting along with collegues is essential. After listening and interacting with the Rothschild & Co employees throughout the week I can say that I like the culture. There is a friendly yet professional environment and it seems like a place where one can grow and find support.

I enjoyed the week and would happily do it again.
