Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
- I was also responsible for building strong relationships across the company with clients, commercial and operations teams
- Resolving client issues and delivering against client needs to ensure the business is always focused towards the customers
- Aiding in the smooth and successful transition to the new client platform
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
- I was in charge of email communication with key clients that had large contracts with Worldpanel so it made the work very meaningful, especially when it resulted in positive outcomes for the client.
- I was also in charge of key documents with client information and details so being responsible was drilled into my way of working with I'm very appreciative of during my time within operations at Worldpanel
- I was in charge of implementing new ways of working suggested by my mentor who I worked very closely everyday for my entire year and his trust in my maintenance of these ways of working made my placement year at Worldpanel invaluable because I learnt a significant amount about the industry and professional standards that I will carry forever.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
- Critical thinking skills were developed as I was forced to think about solutions to complicated issues within strict time constraints due to client deadlines and this was amazing.
- Teamwork skills were developed as working on projects with colleagues required effective delegation and collaboration to finish projects in time for deadlines.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
- My 2 line managers were both extremely available and willing to answer any enquiry I had as well as being genuinely interested in my workload and how I was developing which I appreciated massively, they were also available for any personal issues I had and this trust they offered made their support greatly valued.
- My mentor was instrumental to my development and he offered any and all guidance he had within his years of being an industry expert and he rubbed off on my in numerous ways to the point where we were described as a package duo throughout the office as we had the same approach to work and bounced off each other to get work done and therefore I owe a lot of my placement outcomes to the guidance and support of my mentor who I still stay in contact now.
- Finally, the operations team as a whole were always willing to help and provide insight when asked and this openness made asking questions very easy as various tasks were overseen by different team leaders within operations outside my own small team in operations so the guidance provided by these task leaders made the work they handed out not only easier to complete but also more enjoyable.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
- Everyone within the team made it clear that they were always available and there for us especially due to my inexperience so this demonstrated to me the company culture was one of collaboration and teamwork which I appreciated greatly.
- The general atmosphere was fine as there were a range of different people so whether I was talking to older team members or members closer to my age it was always friendly interactions and I didn't feel a lot of animosity.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
- I was able to communicate weekly via emails and bi-weekly video calls with clients as well as meetings with commercial where we discussed various strategies towards our clients needs and requests and being present within these meetings and listening to how professional from different teams brainstormed and collaborated on solutions is an experience that I will never forget and I am so appreciative of these opportunities I was exposed to.
- Finally, I made some incredible friends during my placement such as my fellow placements who I still stay in contact with after the placement ended as well as my mentor who I developed an amazing relationship with as him and I shared numerous interests outside of work and these relationships I built during my placement are highly valued.

- Concentrate on moulding meaningful relationships with your team and people outside of your team that you see at the office because they add up and will only maker your life and comfort in the work environment that much better.
