Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Using data to understand consumer needs to help produce clients understand their shoppers and therefore innovate and grow accordingly. Completing monthly reports to give clients further insight on the produce industry. Using excel to produce eye catching charts and graphs for insightful presentations. Working with the team to produce seasonal presentations such as christmas decks to allow clients to see how produce categories have performed.

Improved excel skills, learnt ways to produce different chart types for more interesting presentations. Improved interpersonal skills. Better organisation skills. Adapted to a corporate environment.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Different teams get along well, and socialise together most of the time. Sociable happy atmosphere at work. Sometimes it can feel cliquey as it is a london based office with mainly london employees, which can make you feel like the odd one out if you arent from london like myself. Socials/social culture is mainly based around drinking which isnt for everyone.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Enjoyed experiencing a corporate environment. The role was difficult and not something I would take as a career path, but interesting to learn about Kantar. Overall, averagely enjoyed.

What advice would you give to others applying to Kantar Worldpanel
Ensure you are a fan of data/numbers/economics as you need to fully understand the market and data to carry out the role well, and passionately. Be prepared to take on lots of new opportunities and ensure you ask for as much training/help as you can get.
