Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I answer data requests from clients, and work on strategic briefs / data pulls depending on what the client is looking for.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was solely responsible for working on MPR reports (monthly reports) for the client which ranged across different categories. I was also solely responsible for quarterly reports, ensuring they are done on time.

I have developed my confidence skills due to regularly presenting to the wider team on FMCG updates. I have also developed data analytics skills and pulling skills both practically and strategically.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have received a lot of support from both the University and the company, with training sessions and constant drop in sessions with my manager and placement cohort and team at Kantar. I have also received a vast amount of support from the university with monthly check in sessions and attendance forms as well as a visit.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company atmosphere is very lively and bubbly - everyone is super friendly and talkative - quite a young and vibrant atmosphere

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed my placement very much, not only have I learnt so much career-wise and developed my practical and analytical skills, but I have also networked; meeting so many people, both client-wise and internally.
