Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The role involved being assigned various tasks, including a range of jobs such as BREEAM evidencing and reviewing new certification schemes. I also began training in Rhino and Grasshopper. Once a task is completed, you are assigned another one to work on.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given responsibility for tasks that I could complete independently before reviewing them with the supervisor. Additionally, I was asked to take meeting notes which was a lot of responsibility.

I developed my excel skills and I learnt new skills in Rhino and grasshopper. I also enhanced office skills in general.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received a lot of support, especially at the start of the internship. My line manager would check in with me once a day most days. Additionally, everyone in the office, even those who weren’t my direct line manager, were always willing to help and provide support

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is fantastic, everyone is kind and extremely welcoming. It is an extremely supportive environment where you feel you can ask anyone for help.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my internship; it was the perfect introduction to sustainable consulting. The tasks I was given spanned various certifications, so it was never boring, and I enjoyed every day
