Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
In Structures, I honed my computational and technical skills. I utilised Saudi building codes, Eurocodes, and various Middle Eastern codes to perform calculations and integrate them into my modelling tasks. I also gained knowledge in Net Zero Concrete, became proficient with nearly a dozen software programmes, and collaborated with the computational group.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Various different responsibilities. I spoke to clients sometimes and given tasks with a range of skillset.

I learnt various modelling skills when on placement. There was a heavy emphasis on computational structural engineering which is something I have been passionate about.

It has been the best job that I have had. The placement was inclusive, had lots to do and various opportunities to learn.
