Global Advisory Spring Insight Programme Review

The insight was four days long and consisted of employee panels, case studies, work shadowing opportunities, a group presentation at the end of the programme, ESG focused presentation and a chance to learn more about Diversity, Inclusion and balance.
Day-to-day, we had opportunities to learn more about Rothschild & Co and opportunities to speak with employees from the bank. We also were given the opportunity to have an early insight into what a career at Rothschild & Co may look like through interactive case studies and a M&A group presentation at the end of the programme. We were also encouraged to explore the headquarters.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about Rothschild & Co as a student that is considering all options available to me. There were plenty of opportunities to learn about Rothschild & Co throughout the four days, not only through its present day processes but the opportunity to learn more about Rothschild & Co and its past. The interns were took on tours of Rothschild & Co's archives and learnt about its rich history.
The panels and opportunities to speak with employees directly allowed us to learn more about the potential roles available throughout the entire span of university and after university. I met lots of employees that were exactly in my shoes during their first year of University and it was incredibly inspiring.

I have learnt many new skills and also developed existing skills. For example, through the panels and work shadowing opportunities I have gained a greater depth of understanding of the role of an investment banker at Rothschild & Co. I have also gained greater understanding through various coffee chats with employees and have really learned about the culture of the business.
Through M&A Case Studies and group presentations, I have learnt so much from participating in the task thoughtfully as well as from my peers. There was also a session with financial edge that supported my technical knowledge greatly.

Rothschild & Co is a very supportive and hard-working environment. There are lots of initiatives towards supporting employee wellbeing and health, as well as plenty of emphasis on nurturing young talent so that clients can be provided with the best advice possible.
There is a lot of attention towards supporting ESG as well as diversity, inclusion and balance. We had opportunities to voice our own opinions and explore how Rothschild & Co has helped local and global communities with it's philantrophic culture.
