Description

To add value, support, manage and oversight the daily risk positions with particular focus on (Financial, Regulatory, Business risk), in accordance with the risk appetite statement.

Apply statistical techniques to validate models across the business and to support with the oversight on credit related topics, including the Maintenance and update the Bank’s Risk policies and the department’s risk procedures

Provide in-depth analysis, market trends and horizon outlook, while keeping stakeholders informed on all critical developments

Job purpose

• Provide support in maintenance and update of the Bank’s Risk policies and the Department’s Risk procedures
• Provide support across Model validation and Credit risk areas - including applying both quantitative and qualitative reviews.
• Monitor and report on counterparty exposures
• Development, collation, preparation, and presentation of Management Information for Excomm, RACC, BRC and Board
• Monitor and report on all Large Exposure positions – including daily monitoring
• Ad hoc support to the Head of FRR and CRO
• Key culture behaviours across Risk embedding mindset, self starter and proactive across key day to day initiatives

Knowledge and Skills

• Highly literate and numerate able to convey messages in a succinct way
• Understanding of Risk Frameworks / Governance and Risk Policy
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience of Risk Analytics and Modelling
• Be able to liaise with Executives, Board members & senior RCI HQ members
• Strong eye for detail and high personal standards.
• STEM Subject - A-Level or University
• Quantitative mindset
• The incumbent will have access to very sensitive bank data. Demonstrable passion for continued professional and personal development
• Ability to build strong relationships internally with other departments, and influence others in a collaborative and positive manner
