My role starts out as a cost estimator and i move into PM next year. On a day to day basis i am doing:
- Reviews
- speaking to stakeholders
- creating cost models
- writing emails

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is super supportive and everyone is willing to help to ensure that you succeed in the programme. I thoroughly enjoy my placements, the stretches i do and the work i am given

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed many skills since joining BAE Systems, My confidence has grown massively and i am now able to speak in front of large groups of people confidently, I have developed personal, professional and digital skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured. As a cost estimator there is only one of you in the south which leads to you developing skills such as asking and networking with different people, you join the PM's at Uni to complete your degree in PM
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My Employee is very supportive ensuring that i have everything that i need to complete my day job. They are available to chat and ensure that i am prioritising work and Uni making sure that i get a good balance.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider could be more supportive, it is clear on assignments that other students revive more help then others due to information nor being circulated to everyone which causes a disadvantage.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As of yet i have not started my PM placements but i feel that when i go into PM i will have a better understanding of what is required of me and how to develop certain skills
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Work ensures that you are part of a stretch programme, which allows for you to network with a range of different people and there are social activities that take part every couple of weeks
