Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked as a Project Manager Intern within the Public Sector side of the Business, and this involves supporting senior project manager in delivering tasks related to the current project (Live Service). I also supported a Business Analyst with writing and editing Business case. My day to day involved attending team meetings, using various tools such as excel, ppt, word and MS Project to deliver tasks.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes I learnt how to use Visio and MS Project as well as enhancing my knowledge on Excel, using it to create a Live Service form. I also learnt some important element of using JIRA to plan and manage projects.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
My line manager was very helpful and provided guidance for every learning development during my placement. She was keen to ensure I get the best of everything during the short space of time I spent with the team.
The wider team were helpful too and willing to teach me different things involved in Project Management.

Excellent company culture, everyone is willing to share knowledge and tips to enhance growth! Very welcoming and from past experience this is the best I have seen so far.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed so much, I am hoping to receive an offer for a full time position after graduation. I feel like the internship ended too soon and I have so much more to learn from the team.

Be open minded and expect to learn a lot no matter how short your placement will be and if it's a full time position, you are in for the best ride of your life. Great Company and lovely people you'll meet.
