Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
A typical day involves completing assigned departmental work alongside attending designated vacation scheme sessions, social events, and group task meetings. Sessions covering topics such as ESG, Diversity & Inclusion, pro bono, legal technology, and purpose enabled participants to understand more about the legal industry and the firm. Throughout the scheme we were assigned a group task which involved presenting to a panel about a joint venture.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
A clear description of a typical career progression was given. In particular, the firm clearly explained the format of a Training Contract and there were plenty of opportunities to speak with current trainees about their experience.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere was very supportive and collaborative. It was very common to approach people and start up a conversation, and every person I spoke to was genuine, intelligent, and hardworking.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I extremely enjoyed the scheme. There were endless opportunities to learn more about the firm and the work was challenging but enjoyable. Throughout the scheme I was constantly supported by my trainee buddy, supervisor, and the graduate recruitment team.
