During my placement in Service Management, I have gained valuable experience across a wide range of areas including commercials, service delivery, operations, customer engagement, and continual service improvement.
Some of my highlights include receiving a Team Player Award, leading a Quarterly Business Review with a customer, and achieving my ITIL 4 certification.
One of my biggest challenges has been developing my attention to detail. As I gained more responsibility throughout my placement, I learnt the importance of being organised and taking the time to thoroughly review my work, which has helped me develop stronger organisational skills and confidence.
Overall, the placement has given me a great understanding of both the technical and business aspects of IT services, and my advice to future students would be to be confident, take initiative, and make the most of every opportunity to learn.
