Meet Anthony: Combining Audit with Purpose

When Anthony joined EY's Industrial Placement Scheme in Audit in 2011, he couldn't have predicted the variety of experiences that would shape his career.

"I've loved it here and I've had a variety of things that have kept it interesting along the way."

Since joining, Anthony has taken advantage of opportunities to broaden his experience, including two secondments.

"I've done two secondments, one to Canada and one to a charity."

Today, Anthony is a Senior Manager in Audit and also works within EY's UK Corporate Responsibility team, leading pro bono engagements across the UK.

"I sit within our UK Corporate Responsibility team leading on pro bono engagements across the UK, helping our EY resources find and deliver pro bono work."

For Anthony, working with charities and community organisations has not only enabled him to make a difference, but has also helped him grow professionally.

"Working within the charity sector and doing so much pro bono has allowed me skills that I can bring into the audit function."

The experience has strengthened his ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and build meaningful relationships.

"It's allowed me to effectively communicate with my teams and with senior partners."

Looking back on his journey, Anthony is most proud of the positive impact he's been able to make through his work.

"I'm really proud that I can make such a difference to clients and communities."

For Anthony, a career at EY has been about much more than developing technical expertise. It's been an opportunity to grow, give back and help shape a better working world.
