Talent Placement Student (P&C) Review

My role sits within the talent team and I support with different project and initiatives. I have gained exposure to different areas and my key projects include:
- managing early careers assessments (including supporting the running of 15 assessment centers
- supporting with different global assessment initiatives
- supporting with early careers onboarding
- writing and sending out a monthly newsletter to stakeholders
- project coordination and admin
I have had the chance to build relationships across the business.

I have been given lots of responsibility - I personally ran and managed both of our assessment platforms for early careers, sending out each candidates assessments. I have been in meetings with different external suppliers, have taken on project management responsibilities at times and have always been given my own pieces of work to manage.

I have developed so many of my skills including time management and how to effectively manage my workload. Primark is fast paced and comes with tight deadlines so I have learnt how to prioritise and meet these deadlines. Other skills that I have developed have been interpersonal skills/networking; I have had the opportunity to meet and build so many relationships across the business.
I have also learnt how to use different software and platforms.

I have received a lot of support during my placement - the support from both my team and the early careers team has been incredible.

The company is very fast paced and busy but the staff are really friendly and supportive. The office has a really nice atmosphere and although people have a lot on their plate they'll always help if you need support.

I have really enjoyed my placement and have seen so much personal growth and development because of it. I've met some great people and have had some amazing opportunities that will help my future career.
