Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My day-to-day involves regular reporting tasks, completed alongside treasury, regulatory reporting and finance. This covers a range of topics, from large exposures to key performance indicator monitoring. I'm frequently involved in new projects as the business is continuously expanding and adapting to new regulations as a result. My role allows me to work extensively with various teams, assessing the risks they face and ensuring we're resilient to deal with any potential exposures.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I've been given significant responsibility throughout my internship. From day one I took ownership of daily, monthly and quarterly reports and was responsible for tasks across various businesses areas. I've even redesigned one of my key daily reports, which is circulated to key stakeholders in the company. My voice is heard during meetings with senior members of the business and I've been influential in key projects - far more than I expected!

My teamwork has also benefited form this experience - something that MFS promotes very well.
