Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

It changes on a day-to-day basis, no two days are the same. You could be training new joiners on the project management tool, could be helping project managers and Portfolio Performance Managers with updating that tool. It is hard to pin what I do on a day-to-day basis in a good way as it is not boring.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I have been given a good amount of responsibility in this placement. They have trusted me with important tasks in which I have delivered on which makes me feel valued in the team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed my soft skills, such as presenting skills, communication and interpersonal skills and time management. I have also learned the new world of lean portfolio and PMO. I have never heard of the team in which I joined and I have learned all the necessary skills to work in that team.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have received great support during my placement. When I started I received great support to settle into the role. I also have support whenever I need it throughout the placement.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company has a great atmosphere in the office. There will always be someone you know in the office so there is always someone to talk to, which makes me want to work in the office.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have really enjoyed the placement, working in Dublin has been a great experience and a great atmosphere. Moving to a different country has been a great experience and the work has also interested me too. I'm very happy with my choice of placement.
