Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Serving retail customers walking in to the branch to receive their hire vehicles and then checking them into it. Crucial step is to offer them additional protections to reduce excess. Processing the vehicles returning after an end of a rental contract by doing a boot to boot check to ensure the vehicle is damage is free. Reaching out to customers in need of a replacement vehicles for reservations that come through as an insurance booking.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes everyday a delegation sheet was formed where you would be delegated certain responsibilities throughout the day which had to be completed before a certain time. A few of mine included doing vehicle and van checks to ensure they were meeting the enterprise standards of "Clean, Safe and Fueled", to keep the Successful Failure Log updated at all times as this recorded all feedback received from customers after the end of their rental.
