Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My day-to-day routine working at Enterprise Mobility would include serving both corporate, insurance and retail customers, running them through contracts and selling them excess protection packages. I would oversee between 8-10 corporate accounts, acting as their account manager and setting up regular meetings to touch base and understand their upcoming needs. I had many captaincies throughout my placement such as: sales and service, marketing/ growth, account management as well as risk and vehicle operations.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of responsibility, overseeing 10 corporate accounts, running the branch on numerous occasions and leading several meetings.

I have definitely gained a lot of confidence and developed my professionalism as a result of my placement year. I have learnt how to successfully manage and liaise with clients, develop my sales skills and manage my time. .

All my managers that I worked under while I was on my placement year were incredible in guiding me and helping me to take on more responsibility and succeed.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was amazing, I would say that everyone that I worked with undoubtedly made the experience so much better. There are a lot of like-minded people in the organisation and everyone always celebrates everyones successes.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year. I felt as if it strengthened my professionalism and helped me to develop several skills which I will take on to use in my last year of University. Everyone in all 3 areas I have worked at has made the job a joy to do.

What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility

Be confident in yourself. A lot of the time during interviews, the managers are just trying to get a feel for who you are and how you would fit in. Just be confident, use examples from University or previous jobs to display your experience and knowledge. Always seem keen and ask questions. Make sure that you do some research on the business before the interview, and maybe choose one strategy or something that they do that you like.
