A decent amount. Depending on the managers and colleagues I were working with I could gain some mentoring and teaching of the knowledge within the operations and layers of departments within the company. The talent acquisition team would have organised days in head office with other placement/graduates to go over key knowledge combined with an activity day out. You are given a mentor to reach out to and have monthly meetings to go over any issues, questions and help gain insight into their department.

Majority of staff are easy to work with. People are generally into similar hobbies or areas of interest and everyone is easy to get along with. Bonds and friendships are easy to make with the size of some teams, and experiencing the hardship of the work helps develop those connections. Its a very helpful culture that looks at developing one another. Often award nights and nights out are planned for staff to network and bond further to acknowledge each others achievements.

I enjoyed the opportunities given on the placement to develop my skills and build connections to my colleagues whilst having fun at work. It involved many great memories of planned days and nights out for events to celebrate our hard work. The teams are easy to have banter with and to find ways of having fun.
