Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Premier Foods?

My experience at Premier Foods so far has been extremely positive. The onboarding and induction process has been engaging and has given me a strong introduction to the business, its culture and the different functions that contribute to its success. A particular highlight has been the opportunity to visit a range of Premier Foods' Distribution, Manufacturing and R&D facilities across England. This has given me valuable insight into the scale of the business and a much better understanding of how different areas work together, from product development through to manufacturing and distribution. I have particularly enjoyed meeting colleagues across the different sites and learning more about their roles and experiences. It has also been really nice going through the whole process alongside the rest of the graduate cohort, getting to know one another in a personal and professional capacity. Overall, it has been a really enjoyable start and has made me excited to continue developing my knowledge and experience throughout my scheme.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

As I am still in the early stages of the graduate programme, my main focus so far has been completing the onboarding and induction process and developing a strong understanding of Premier Foods and how the different areas of the business operate. I have particularly enjoyed the sites from a commercial aspect seeing the various concepts turn into in-store execution.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

5/5
Everyone I have met has been approachable, supportive and genuinely interested in helping me learn and develop. I have been encouraged to ask questions, share my thoughts and get involved wherever possible, which has made me feel like part of the wider business from the beginning.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

4/5
I feel that the overall compensation package is very competitive, the pension scheme, annual leave and employee discounts are particularly valuable to me, alongside the support provided for travel, accommodation and meals during the induction period has been amazing.

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

5/5
Even at this early stage, I feel the graduate programme is providing me with a strong foundation for my future career. The induction has already given me exposure to a wide range of functions, sites and people across Premier Foods, helping me develop a much broader understanding of how a large FMCG operates.

How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

5/5
Although, I am still at the beginning of the graduate programme, I have already had plenty of opportunities to develop both new and existing skills. The induction has helped develop my communication, networking and teamwork skills through various workshops which have been very fun to be a part of.
