Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Premier Foods?

Generally, my experience has been very good at PF, with plenty of opportunities to show my skills and strengths.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

With multiple rotations, there have been multiple sets of reposnibilities:
Field sales: ensuring correct execution of promotional plans in store, identifying opportunities for additional off shelf displays, improving on shelf visibility
Commercial planning: ensuring correct forecasting for sales through running account surgeries, modelling promotional mechanics and their commercial impact, stakeholder management for team meetings, presentation skills
eCommerce: management of sponsored search and banner budgets, hero image creation, online sale data analysis

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?

3/5
This has been very mixed, with some great support and some terrible support. Some people clearly have more experience managing graduates than others. Some people are poor managers and don't allow for independent thought and agency which is extremely frustrating while others encourage it.

How is your work-life balance?

5/5

What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

5/5

How would you rate Premier Foods initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

4/5
Very good, except at the senior leadership level. I have a role in an ERG (employee resource group) that allows me to hopefully begin to change this.

How would you rate Premier Foods CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

4/5
The ESG team at Premier Foods is extremely capable and work hard to balance business goals with more ethical practices.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Premier Foods to a friend?

Yes

Why?

The commercial grad scheme has a lot of structure and allows you to progress and develop new skills with lots of opportunities to meet new people all across the business.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

5/5

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Premier Foods?

Be yourself. There is no point pretending to be someone you're not - that is exhausting and you won't be able to show your best work and potential/.
