Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
The first few months weren't very good, I was left to my own devices. But I took the initiative and met people and got a move to a different business unit. Now, I enjoy my job. I'm constantly learning, doing and running smaller projects which is growing my knowledge tremendously.
I feel like there should be a mandatory training period/sessions for Graduates at Balfour Beatty, like in the Military where you spend 6 months just training and then go learn on the job. I feel like if a lot of grads who weren't me were put in my position of those first few months at Balfours - they wouldn't still be here.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I am leading on a new industry tool which we have just gone out externally to build, I have been leading on the trials in different business units which means a lot of travelling. However, I've now got a much broader understanding of the business and are hoping this will be industry changing.

Why?
It all depends on what BU and who you are working for, if there were certain parts of Balfours my friend was going to apply for a job. I would tell them no.
However, I do like the job and the responsibility. The people are the best of the best, and so is the work that we are doing.
