Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
My experience with Balfour Beatty has been welcoming, smooth and enjoyable. Everything was very organised for me starting my graduate role which really helped with settling in. Everyone is keen to introduce themselves and help with any questions.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Some main responsibilities I will have in my role are progress reports, co-ordinating weekly meetings, understanding and keeping track of a projects progress. I really enjoy that I work within a team, problem solving aspects and communicating with others.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Everyone in my team has been welcoming, inclusive and happy to help with all queries I have had.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Flexible working hours, buy and sell holiday days and weekly vendors in the office. These three points shows that the company and team value your time, trust you to complete your work and value the work and effort staff put in.

I am learning and developing my knowledge everyday. Meeting new people and other teams really helps to have a better understanding of what goes into a project.

I have received great and continuous support throughout my graduate journey. From start dates, welcome calls, catch up meetings and online training, I have felt supported to learn and do my role to the best of my ability.
How is your work-life balance?

Working a mix of in the office and at home really helps to balance your work week and personal time. There is no encouragement to stay late or answer emails at the weekend, your team and managers want you to switch off and enjoy your weekend and evenings too.
