Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
Overall, my experience at Balfour Beatty has been very positive. It has given me the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience, develop my technical and professional skills, and understand how a large organisation operates within the construction and infrastructure industry.
I have particularly appreciated the supportive working environment and the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues. Being exposed to real projects and day-to-day responsibilities has helped me build my confidence and apply what I have learned in a practical setting. I have also enjoyed working as part of a team and learning from people with different areas of expertise.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As an OHL Site Engineer, my main responsibilities involve supporting the delivery of overhead line works on site and ensuring that activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with the project requirements and specifications. The part of the role I enjoy most is being on site and seeing the work progress from planning and preparation through to completion. I particularly enjoy solving technical and practical problems as they arise and working with different members of the team to find effective solutions. The role has also given me the opportunity to develop my understanding of OHL construction and gain experience that I can apply to future projects.
