Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor at Balfour Beatty, I support the commercial management of infrastructure projects while developing my knowledge through the Graduate Development Programme. My responsibilities include processing and assessing monthly payment applications, monitoring and reporting project costs, and assisting with cost forecasting and financial control. I also carry out quantity take-offs and measurements. Alongside my project work, I actively participate in training and development opportunities to build my commercial, contractual, and technical knowledge within the construction industry.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
One of the aspects of my role I enjoy most is carrying out quantity take-offs. I find it rewarding to measure and quantify project elements from drawings.
