Joining meetings with the department team. Being given individual projects to work on. Being given team projects to work on. Being given a group charity challenge for the placement. Having to do presentations towards the end of the placement.

A lot more compared to other internships. There was always someone either online or in the office I could receive guidance from. It was very assuring.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Welcoming and respectful. You could approach employees of higher authority without feeling intimidated which was really ideal. There was only a slight dip in comfort due to the lack of people of the same gender within my team.

What advice would you give to others applying to Arcadis
Don't pretend to be someone you aren't when applying for a job at Arcadis. If you try to become someone else and get the job you will realise once you've started that you aren't in the right situation for yourself because you pretended to be someone else and it will drain you and probably deter you from wanting to stay within the company. You should be yourself so you can find a job and situation that suits you and that you can thrive in with your own personality and talents.
