Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
On a day-to-day basis, my role consisted of analysing and presenting production data from the previous day. On top of this, I assisted with any tasks that were assigned to me. For example supporting the introduction of new vehicle programmes, and working with the efficiency team to drive continuous improvement
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Lots, and quite early on too. I think the level of autonomy is very beneficial to development during a placement year

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learnt lots of new technical skills surrounding my responsibilities, but more importantly developed stronger software skills such as communication and teamwork, and the understanding of what working in a fast paced environment requires from staff

A handover is provided at the beginning of placement from the previous student. Then asking for support is recommended and people are usually willing to help support your development

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very fast paced, it is fairly high stress but if you can manage this it makes the work feel rewarding and the days go fast.
