Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was the placement student for the engineering department. I was responsible for scheduling and updating the TPM system using SAP as well as daily reporting on TPM and breakdown completion. I also had a variety of different responsibilities across the plant.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
A great amount. I was solely responsible for scheduling all maintenance activities in the plant as well as managing KPIs for the whole of engineering. I also got involved in productivity initiatives that saved over £300k.

A great deal as the year progressed. Not a huge amount of direct manager support to begin with but definitely more as the year went on. Support was great from my whole team and across the plant.
