Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The insight scheme provided by Ashurst (Ashurst Perks Code) was an interactive and engaging introduction to what makes Ashurst special and how to succeed in applying for their Early Careers pathways. The day was structured with care to make sure that there was a variety of different aspects covered from networking with trainees, learning about Ashurst's work in green energy projects and tailored advice for applying to vacation schemes and training contracts. It was motivating to be able to talk to trainees, associates and partners of all different specialties within the firm, which allowed the students to gain an authentic perspective of what it is like to work at Ashurst.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

The insight day touched on several different sectors including Disputes Resolution, Projects + Energy Transition and Ashurst Advance & Risk Advisory.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was highly positive, as each person we interacted with had a genuine enthusiasm for their speciality within the firm and wanted to know more about each student.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I thoroughly enjoyed the insight scheme as I was able to gain a broad understanding of the different sectors in which Ashurst specialise in and what specifically makes the firm stand out against others.
