Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Vehicle Services is made up of four departments: Administration, Sales Support, Logistics, and Operations. The role involved being trained in the daily responsibilities of each department in turn, before progressing to the next. This was all to support the Remarketing team.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was treated as a full member of the team, taking on a high level of responsibility and contributing to day-to-day operations. In addition to core duties, I was trusted to support management with additional projects

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed a wide range of new skills, including strengthening my numerical and technical abilities through the use of software and applications such as Excel. Additionally, by working closely with different teams, I have significantly improved my communication skills. This experience has helped me build confidence in the workplace and enhanced my ability to adapt, collaborate effectively, and take on new challenges.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a high level of support throughout my placement. My manager and team were fantastic and consistently supported both my day-to-day work and personal development. The wider company also provided a range of training sessions to further support my learning. The support and encouragement from my team was probably the highlight of my placement.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Within my department in particular, the experience was excellent. There is a great group of individuals who are all inspirational to work with, and they made it easy to build strong working relationships.
