Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I am involved in 3 areas of the business.
Customers coming to collect rental vehicles. I must ensure the customer fully understands the contract and to try and make the customer as fully protected by coverage as possible.
The second is to return the renter vehicles. I must ensure the customer has had a positive experience and provide solutions to any issues that have arisen.
The last are to deal with the corporate customers and Emerald club customers, making sure they receive the fastest and best possible service.
Overall, the role involves providing the best possible customer service and ensuring our customers will return.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

From the first weeks i was given the opportunity to complete customer reservations accompanied with someone shadowing me. After a short while I was encouraged to complete them on my own and advised to ask questions if any issues.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

i have developed a number of skills since being at enterprise including confidence and independence. I have been encouraged to make mistakes and learn from those boosting my independence and confidence that in future i will get things right. I have also further developed interpersonal skills as i encounter different customers each day

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

At the beginning of the internship, we were provided with a week of training which gave us a good foundation to work on when we got to the branch. In the branch we were always paired up with people so we could learn from them and ask questions. We have always been encouraged to ask questions if we are unsure and managers and other colleagues were always very approachable and happy to help/

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

the atmosphere is very friendly, and everyone mingles with each other throughout the day. All staff members work as a team, and we often have fun competitions in the branch to boost sales but also have fun with our customers. There has also been a number of opportunities to go out and socialize with employees.

i really enjoyed my experience working at enterprise, and i have learned a lot from this too. I have enjoyed meeting a variety of new people and interacting with customers too.

i would encourage other to apply to Enterprise as there is a variety of opportunities within the company. It is also a good opportunity to build a wide range of skills which i believe are vital to future roles working in the business sector.
