Account Set Up Intern Review

I set up accounts for corporate customers working closely with the sales department. We would review and risk check all of their documents such as contracts, insurance and payment. We then load their rates and create their booking tools.

I was given a much responsibility as any regular worker in the company. It was a very hands-on training and I got into working straight away. My work is very independent but I could ask for help at any time.

During my placement, I developed my communication, organisation, and time management skills by handling tasks in a professional environment. I also improved my attention to detail and became more confident using tools like Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Overall, the experience helped me become more efficient and workplace-ready.

I received a good level of support and guidance throughout my placement. My manager and colleagues were approachable and always willing to help when needed, especially when I was learning new tasks. Over time, I was then trusted to work more independently, which helped build my confidence.
