Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

We gain experience across 2 different practice areas over the span of one month. I learnt how to use company systems, draft emails, review documents and sit in on client meetings.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, a huge bonus of the internship is the amount of responsibility you are given over the four weeks, gaining exposure to matters in real time.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at Winston Taylor. The exposure to law in practice and the business experience I have gained were both top level. The Dublin team are all so welcoming and accommodating.

What advice would you give to others applying to Winston Taylor

I would research the firm and prepare well for your interview. The team in Dublin are so welcoming and having a supervisor on your team helps you integrate into the team and the wider firm. I would keep an open mind and explore all the practice areas before deciding where you would like to gain experience.
