Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
On a day to day basis, we were involved in workshops, focus sessions, and task within our own teams to understand the firm and the work done in the different practice areas. It was lovely to speak to so many people and learn about the work they do at the firm.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was incredibly insightful and informative to speak to so many people at the firm and in our respective practice areas. I was able to make a good understanding of how trainees were involved at the firm as well as some of the work done in the different practice areas.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
During my time here, I've been involved in research tasks, proofreading and practice amending documents, creating client-facing emails, meetings, and work across a range of topics. I was able to learn through both the work and the conversations I had, the different work that is done across practice areas. Through feedback on my tasks, I've been able to improve my attention to detail. This experience has also made me better at networking. From my group presentation, I was able to learn a lot about a practice area that I had not sat in as well.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
One of the highlights of my experience on the scheme was the people at this firm and the culture. From the start of the process, at the assessment center and pre-scheme social, I felt welcomed at the firm. I enjoyed being able to talk to so many people. Everyone at the firm was very approachable and very happy to have a conversation about their work.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I had an incredibly enjoyable time at Winston Taylor this summer. I was able to speak to a range of people at the firm who provided so much insight into their work and were wonderful to talk to. I was given many interesting pieces of work to be a part of and had great exposure to the practice areas I sat in and I learned so much during my time at the scheme. My supervisors and trainee buddies were also very supportive during my time here.

Research the firm in depth and understand the strengths of the firm when applying. During my application process, I reached out to a trainee who was lovely to talk to and answered the questions I had on the firm.
