Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Planning Upcoming audits of business divisions and entities. Checking trackers to monitor open findings from completed audits. Communicating with multiple people across the business to plan audits and follow up. Arranging team and external meetings. Joining on-site audits. Assisting in SOx testing at Interim and year-end, with about 40 PLC's to test
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes in terms of being responsible for the planning of audits and follow ups of findings. For SOx testing I had around 40 internal controls which were my responsibility to test.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
My excel and technical skills were pretty poor before! Now I feel confident to use excel to use different functions. For example, I had no clue you could link different Microsoft applications together! Other skills developed such as communication, organisation and general office etiquette!

A great balance between independence/autonomy and support from my manager and wider team. My team were all very supportive!

Honda has a great culture and atmosphere. Full of lovely people and the culture isn't something you just read about, you really feel it!

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my placement. I learnt so much, met so many new people. I've learnt what i might want to do in the future and what i might not want to do!
