Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the virtual internship and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The internship involved 3 two and a half hour coding sessions weekly, Q and A sessions with Accenture employees about technology careers and technology itself, and online self learning about the cloud, AI and machine learning and Sustainability in technology. You were also assigned a mentor, and you arrange meetings with them whenever you felt like. At the beginning of each week you are given a debrief of what the week will look like. At the end of the week you discuss how the week went and give feedback on the sessions
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very eye opening as I was unaware of all the possible roles regarding technology there was.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have learnt a lot about different parts of technology such as the cloud and machine learning. I also learnt about how technology can be sustainable. I learnt the coding languages; CSS, HTML, and JAVA script and how to use these languages to create a website. I also learnt how to used bootstrap and gut hub. This internship also helped me develop my teamwork and communication skills as we had to work in small groups for our final project.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company is very diverse and the atmosphere is very pleasant. They really strive to make sure everyone feels included and that there voice is heard. Everyone there was very friendly.

To what extent did you enjoy the virtual internship?
I enjoyed it a lot. I like how interactive it was although it was held online. I also really enjoyed the in office days and the social activities held.
