Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work as a cybersecurity analyst for the a health and public sector client. My work involved Identity Access Management, Incident Response and Cyber Governance. I have standups everyday where I share what I'm working on and raise any blockers I may have.
I'm typically in the Manchester office 3 days a week, it's a beautiful office on Oxford Road with a vibrant and amazing community. Loads of events that are available from ice skating, to paintballing, to panels on the future of work. All around, great place to work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I love my day to day job, I wish BPP (the university provider) was more upfront about changes to the programme but wouldn't change it for the world. I've loved my experiences.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I didn't know how to code a line of HTML before I joined. Now I regularly run KQL scripts, I've gotten certifications from Azure, AWS, MongoDB and more. The opportunities to learn and grow are endless. My cybersecurity skils have grown as I've gained confidence in the Azure suite like Entra, Purview and Defender.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It's very self-led which I enjoy, anything you want to do is a your fingertips. However the uni side is less organised, often telling you about changes last minute.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Amazing support, whether professional or personal. when I have something to get off my chest, help I need, support is always there.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Great socials, most Thursdays etc there are events, whether that's bowling, mini-golf, dinner, sip and paint and more. The employee resource groups like the Muslim Network, African Carribean Network, Padel and more organise regular events for everyone.
