Depending on the project you are assigned, this can change but on the software engineering stream your first project may not be software focussed, but you get the chance to change projects and can find one that will suit your experience/ interests.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yeah you are given responsibility to deliver what is required from your project. I was always treated like a full member of the team.

Opportunities are provided to develop skills in AWS or Azure. Which can lead to professionally recognised qualifications. Is a great opportunity to learn industry skills on the projects chosen, and also skills that will be necessary for employment after graduation

Not much support from the Accenture side other than the people you work with directly on the project. Who were always supportive.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was good, although due to the pandemic a lot was virtual. This didn't change till the end of the placement, but the culture and atmosphere seemed positive.

What advice would you give to others applying to Accenture
Give yourself time to complete all the activates, as there is many stages to the application process. Although none were too complicated, they did require preparation before hand.
