Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role involved dealing with customers both in person and on the phone, pushing sales, monitoring complaints/ customer service level, ensuring cars meet safety standards, familiarising myself with the different sales available to push those to the customers.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

from the first day you are answering phones, interacting with customers etc. the responsibility grows as you spend more time within the business.

the first week you spend the morning on training then the rest of the day in the branch, the managers make sure you are familiar with the processes before you leaving you alone and still shadow you for your first couple of interactions, providing feedback.
