Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I support the General Manager Recruiting Team and the Hotel Operations Recruiting Team. I have a lot of day-to-day responsibilites e.g. creating candidate profiles based on CVs and posting roles etc but am also involved in a number of projects.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes - I feel like I had a lot of ownership of tasks throughout my internship

I have definitely become a lot more excel proficient. I have also developed my time management, communication skills and confidence.

Lots of support and guidance. Taught lots of new things and never felt afraid to ask questions. Recieved plenty of guidance if I was ever unsure about a task.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Company culture was amazing! Really felt like part of the team even though I was only there for one year. So many social activities to get involved in as well.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at Hilton. I think my team was great and my line managers were very supportive. There were lots of opportunities to get involved and contribute towards meaninful projects. I also was able to build relationships with other interns which made the social aspect great too.

Definitely apply! A great placement if you want to gain industry experience and understand what a real-life corporate environment is like. Great opportunity to learn and develop your skills with lots of guidance and support.
