Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at CGI?

As I have only recently joined CGI and am currently completing my training and onboarding, my experience is still developing. However, my first impressions have been very positive.
Everyone I have interacted with has been welcoming, supportive and approachable. The onboarding process has been well structured and I have felt comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance when needed. CGI has also been very accommodating regarding my individual circumstances and has taken a proactive approach to ensuring I have the support I need.
Although I have not yet begun project work, I am looking forward to becoming more involved and gaining hands-on experience over the coming months.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

As I have only recently joined CGI, I am currently focused on completing training, onboarding activities and familiarising myself with the company, its processes and available systems.
While I have not yet started my long-term project assignment, I have enjoyed learning about CGI's culture, values and the range of opportunities available within the organisation. I particularly appreciate the flexibility of the graduate programme and the chance to explore different areas of technology while developing professionally.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend CGI to a friend?

Yes

Why?

Although I have only recently joined CGI and am still completing my onboarding and training, I would recommend the company based on my experience so far.
Everyone I have interacted with has been welcoming, supportive and approachable. The onboarding process has been well organised and there is a genuine focus on helping graduates settle in and succeed. I have also appreciated the flexibility offered through hybrid working and the willingness of colleagues to provide guidance when needed.
While I am still at the beginning of my journey with CGI, my first impressions have been very positive and I am looking forward to gaining further experience within the organisation.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

5/5
As I have only recently started, I am still gaining a full understanding of the role. However, my experience so far has aligned closely with what was described during the recruitment process.
The graduate programme, onboarding activities, training opportunities and supportive culture are all consistent with the expectations set throughout the application and interview stages. The role has also provided the flexibility and support that were highlighted during recruitment.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to CGI?

My main advice would be to be yourself throughout the application process and demonstrate a willingness to learn. CGI places significant value on collaboration, communication and potential, rather than expecting graduates to know everything from day one.
For onboarding, I would recommend completing any pre-start activities as early as possible and making the most of opportunities to connect with colleagues and other graduates. Don't be afraid to ask questions, as everyone I have interacted with has been happy to help.
