Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

During my Brand Performance Support Placement at Hilton, I support the team in helping hotels across EMEA achieve their performance goals. My day-to-day work includes making resources, content, and helping turn insights into clear actions for hotel teams.
I also assist with coordinating regional brand initiatives, responding to queries from hotels, and contributing ideas to projects and campaigns. The role gives me exposure to both operational and strategic aspects of brand performance while working closely with a collaborative team.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given a good level of responsibility during my placement. I was trusted to take ownership of specific tasks, such as projects and supporting the delivery of regional initiatives.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes, I’ve both learnt new skills and developed existing ones during my placement.
I’ve improved my creativity and communication skills by communicating with different stakeholders. I’ve also strengthened my stakeholder management skills by collaborating with teams across EMEA and responding to hotel queries.
In addition, I’ve developed my ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and think more strategically about brand performance and operations.

I received a good level of support and guidance throughout my placement. The team was very approachable and always available to answer questions or provide feedback.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was very supportive and collaborative. Everyone was approachable and happy to help, which made it easy to ask questions and get involved. Hilton also won 2026 best workplace in the world and I feel like I have experienced that during my time at Hilton.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed my placement overall. It was a varied role that allowed me to get involved in both day-to-day operations and wider projects, which kept it interesting.
I particularly enjoyed working with my team and being able to take ownership of tasks, which made the experience feel both engaging and rewarding.
