Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

On a day-to-day basis, the role often involves developing and trialling recipes in the kitchen or pilot plant, adjusting ingredients and processes to achieve the right taste, texture, appearance, shelf life, and cost.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given projects to work on by myself and left to do them independently and I was allowed to lead trials.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed most of my placement year, I had the opportunity to go to food events and see different Premier Foods sites. However, I never received my own NPD project which left me a bit disappointed.
