This role specifically will be responsible for the delivery of marketing campaigns and projects to

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I am extremely grateful for the investment the organisation has made in my development, both through commitment to the apprenticeship and by providing access to an internal learning programme that is supporting me to become the best manager I can be at Alzheimer’s Society.
I have also greatly valued the support from both the training provider and the Talent and Careers team. The apprenticeship has offered a genuinely independent learning experience, giving me access to guidance whenever needed while also trusting me with the space, responsibility and resources to develop independently and work towards achieving a distinction.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
I believe I have developed across all areas through the programme, supported by the learning and guidance provided. If I were to highlight one key area of development, it would be the methodologies shared throughout the programme, which have enabled me to more effectively evaluate, research, and demonstrate the impact of my work to stakeholders.
The programme has also given me greater confidence in applying and articulating methodologies that I had previously been using in practice without formal awareness of their underlying frameworks. This has been both reassuring and empowering. In addition, I have been introduced to a wide range of new methodologies, expanding the number of frameworks available for me to draw upon in my work.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Alzheimer's Society to a friend?

Yes

Why?

I am motivated to work at Alzheimer’s Society because of the organisation’s genuine commitment to people, both those it supports and those who work within it. I am incredibly grateful for the investment the organisation has made in my development, not only through the commitment to my apprenticeship but also through access to a high‑quality internal learning programme. This support has played a significant role in helping me grow as a manager and contribute more effectively to the organisation’s mission.
Through the programme, I have developed across all areas, particularly through exposure to a wide range of methodologies. These have enabled me to better evaluate, research and clearly demonstrate the impact of my work to stakeholders. The learning has given me confidence in both articulating methodologies I was previously using instinctively and applying new frameworks that strengthen my practice. It has also encouraged a more critical approach, helping me assess suitability, identify risks and adapt methods to best support teams and projects. I am equally fortunate to work within a supportive team and alongside a line manager who actively supports my development.
Alzheimer’s Society is an organisation where learning, compassion and trust underpin the way people work.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Alzheimer's Society?

The organisation values people who are thoughtful, collaborative and genuinely motivated by being determined to make a difference so sharing real examples of how you work with others and approach your role with care really helps. I’d also encourage applicants to be open about their willingness to learn and grow. Alzheimer’s Society is an organisation that invests in development
