As a technician I am maintaining a fleet of bin lorries by means of inspections and defect repairs.

I came in with zero experience in the trade and have learnt countless new skills and expanded my knowledge of vehicles exponentially.

The college has both a tutor and account manager that check up on me and offer support through my apprenticeship both in and outside of college.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The college side of this apprenticeship expands on my daily tasks at the workplace by giving me a greater understanding of the theory behind different components greatly improving my ability to diagnose a fault as I am able to fully understand the different systems in a vehicle.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The company carries out a Christmas do annually and the workforce frequently plan meets to do different leisure activities or meals out with everyone.
