Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I conduct our monthly sustainability reporting and environment impact assessments mainly on a day-to-day basis but also have the opportunity to try out the different varierty of specialist tasks like land administration and soft estates in our broader team to get a overall understanding on Environment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I can't imagine myself doing anything else; I have a healthy amount of variety, flexibility and consistency with my job role and project.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have grown more confident in a professional setting and handling unexpected questions and queries as well as communicating in a team and across teams.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I prefer my day release structure than the possibility of block release as it provides variety in the week whilst allowing me to keep a usual routine. Structure of the apprenticeship is mostly clear as they don't overwhelm you with processes that are years in advance but inform when appropriate.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager is very supporting in ensuring I achieve my KSBs as well as providing opportunities for where I need them as well as allows me to take time to study when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My team is very accommodating to any assistance I would need to my university work and providing related CPD opportunites.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It allows foundational understanding to my work but also provides a new perspective to the work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I get involved in the Early Careers Network Events and the Sustainability Sprout Network, and take part in the annual corporate games.

Balfour Beatty is much bigger than I can imagine as I always forget how many wonderful opportunities we have available and is a healthy working environment.
