Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a design & technical trainee I supported technical co-ordinators with construction projects by performing admin tasks such as checking and uploading information. During this I would learn new construction terminology that I could apply throughout the day. However 1 day a week I was expected to do online learning with a training organisation to expand my knowledge.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I've enjoyed the programme so far as I am being constantly applied to new tasks that will support me in my understanding of the construction industry. Everyday feels like a new challenge that is ensured to keep me engaged.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My skillset has been strengthened with learning new tidbits about software such as excel and even software I have never used before like viewpoint. I have even improved on my communication skills within the workplace by meeting new people and conversing with them on topics related to construction.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme so far has been well structured as we are quickly notified of any updates and have been given course related timetables to know what we should expect. We also attend trainee/graduate meet-ups that keep us organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been supportive so far by being open to talk to about any questions I may have and by holding meetings to see how I have progressed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider has been helpful by explaining the course in-depth so that I have an understanding of what is expected of me to achieve what I want as well as holding a meeting every 3 months to see how I am progressing in the course.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification is Construction Design & Build Technician apprenticeship Level 4 and it is deeply entwined within my role allowing me to implement knowledge in a day-day basis giving off the feeling that I am improving over-time as I learn more.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

My company has held after-work social activities such as classic meet-ups or even participating together as a sports team for everyone to have an enjoyable time.

Would you recommend Vistry to a friend?

Why?
I would recommend Vistry as the environment is friendly with helpful people all around to help me grow as a person. I would also encourage to apply through the trainee/graduate route so that you can deepen your knowledge of the construction while gaining work experience.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vistry?
A tip I would give is to try new things as those in the work place are more than willing to help to ensure that you do better next time. Another piece of advice is to talk about any issues with your line manager as they will support you in any way they can.
