Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I reviewed project costs and reallocated people costs accordingly, I liaised with finance directors and project accountants to review costs and present monthly figures.
I also worked with internal team members so I could review costs accurately and deal with any errors and queries accordingly, on behalf of the budget holders.

I developed various new skills as well as building on current skills. Working as part of a team and becoming a role model to team members was a huge achievement for me, I didn't think this would be something I could develop professionally, this really helped me with my confidence.

I was supported daily from my line managers, this really helped me achieve targets and work through concerns I had.

My talent coach was brilliant, I could speak to her at any time and she never pushed me to do too much, she could see the strain exams have on me and didn't want to push other workloads on me during these times. She really was supportive throughout.

It enables me to be the best accountant I could be, as well as understand the progression I have within my career.
