Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am involved with communicating with clients to help them with a variety of accounting, borrowing, and investment based questions. I attend meetings with clients to present their information to them and also help to prepare materials for these meetings. I use excel to update economic data and charts used internally and externally. I am on multiple teams, including the debt team and the technical team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my apprenticeship a lot. I have been given responsibility at work, which has allowed me to challenge myself and learn. I also enjoy the college side of my apprenticeship, where I am able to study accounting and meet new people.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since starting my apprenticeship two years ago, I have learnt many new skills. I have learnt a lot about finance and accounting, and also how a working environment operates. I am able to communicate more confidently through emails, meetings, and day-to-day interactions. My skills in excel have also improved, which is very beneficial for me doing accounting work.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is structured clearly, with 12 exams which have been set out to me in a clear time frame. There is also a system set up to monitor my apprenticeship progress to allow me to stay on track.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a great amount of support from my employer. I receive feedback on my work, so I know where I need to improve. I also have meetings with my manager where I can bring up any questions I may have.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider helps me with regular review meetings to monitor my progress. In this time, I can ask any questions I may have, and I am always able to get into contact outside of these meetings if I require any support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification provides me with skills and knowledge which are relevant to my role. As I am dealing with accounting questions, and also working on accounting projects, my course is helping me a lot. There is a lot of overlap with my work and also my college course, helping me progress quickly.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are regular social events at my office building and also at work. Some of these have included: going to play darts, going out for dinner, craft events, and more.

My work has helped to challenge me and progress. I have learnt so many new skills and met lots of friendly people through work. I have been given responsibility and tasks which I find interesting, and I would recommend to others who are interested in finance and accounting.
